Blouse... Get one!

Want something posh, mod and light for a trendy summer look?
This is my new fav item, and I will
be keeping a sharp eye out in the shops
for one of these.. or two... or five :)

Bringing in everyone's new love of see-through
clothing with a granny-core styled blouse, this
item of clothing should be paired with skinnies or cute denim shorts
to give it a more casual look, or
tucked into a cute high-waisted skirt for something more
formal and sexy. Really, do what
you like with this!

Look out for interesting patterns and
bold, spicy or pastel colours... And detailed
necklines, collars, contrasting cuffs and ties and of course buttons!

The ones below are all from Urban Outfitters,
and can be viewed over here!

Have fun with this!

In LOVE with Kate Moss

Yes! She's now part of the "taken" crowd...

Kate Moss got married to her "rocker" boyfriend
(from The Kills)
Jamie Hince on Friday 1st July in Southrop, England.

And talk about a marriage, this one consumed the entire weekend
with its festival-like festivities. And Kate looked
absolutely devine in her John Galliano dress
--> which was dripping with rhinestones and
topped off with a gorgeous vintage-styled lace veil. *sigh*
Everything about this screams elegant fairy rock princess... Just stunning.

Kate says:
“I wanted it to be kind of dreamy and 1920s, when everything is soft-focus.”

And that it most certainly was, but of course with a bit of a twist!

All the images below are part of the collection of
official pics taken by wedding photographer
Mario Testino,
and are coming out in the US Vogue today!

You will find a whole bunch more
(including a few of the celebs that attended too...)
over here!

enjoy!

Madonna's Material Girl

And in other news...

One certain black eyeliner using gothic blonde wild child has been replaced
for Madonna & Lourdes' fashion line "Material Girl"
with one of my personal bests Kelly Osbourne!

After Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen flashed her naked boobies
to a crowd some time ago, her role as Jenny on GG was put on hold,
and it would seem now that Madonna has too grown tired of her
Lohan-Like escapades. Sigh.
And even though I love Taylor, YAY for us because
I think Kelly looks like a f*@cking rock star in
this new campaign!

So you can find the Material Girl collection over here...

I love everything about it!
Only hoping Ol'Taylor isn't crying too much over this split milk...

xoxo <-- sorry had to!! :p

Swimwear 2011 - start looking out!

With summer stock now on shelves and in store,
it is time to start hunting for "The One"

(THAT swim suit that will carry you, and your lovely bits, all through summer!)

Obviously one should keep in mind not only body shape and
what bests suits yours, but above that comfort.
I still maintain that no matter what you look like, confidence is key,
and if you're on a beach, in a bikini and feeling uncomfortable,
it'll show more than your skin! So make sure
your suit fits you well and that you're happy to prance
around in it all day (at the beach, or down the street.
What ever floats your boat!)
Right, now, trends to keep an eye out for?

1. Prints - following from Winter through to Summer, look out
for ditzy, cute floral prints! Stripes as well as polka dots
are still very much alive, so look out for those too...
(as well as photographic prints! Unusual I won't lie, difficult to
pull off and hard to get right...)

2. Full Piece - Vintage has spilt its loveliness
all over summer this year, and (even though it was noticed for
summer 10) is making a big wave in stores, from high-waisted bikinis
to boob-tubed full pieces! And NO, these aren't only for curvy
girls. I think they are way cute and suit almost everyone...
And there's little risk of feeling uncomfortable in one of these babies.
Now who said less is more...?

3. Undies? Swimsuit? - Yes, there is this now
very fine line between lingerie and a bikini... for the more
fashion forward individual. With a VERY close relation to its undie/bra siblings,
these swimsuits are pretty big for this summer, and perhaps even provide more support with
the under wires favorable to this style? Noticed by its rounded cups, frills and lacey
bits!

4. Embellishments - Whether it be little bows,
ties, ribbon, lacey pieces, studs, iron-ons, original stitching... swimwear is seeming to
concentrate more now on interesting little details to bring
the garment alive! Look out for original pieces with cute little details
to really bring attention

As with all seasonal trends, lots stay and lots go. The above are only 4 of my favourite
swimwear trends for Summer 11, and below are some of my
favourite finds which encompass the above trends.

enjoy!

Luxury Lingerie by Agent Provocateur

I'm sure many of you know this brand already... but thought I
had to share!
Agent Provocateur was started by Joseph Corre
(Yes, that would be Vivienne Westwood's son)
and his now ex wife Serena Rees all the way back in 1994.

The very first store was seen in Soho and their aim?
To deliver great quality, original high-end lingerie... yum.

Agent Provocateur's fashion forward and fun garments
have become pretty popular with many well know-ens, including:
Kylie Minogue, Paris Hilton, Fern Britton & Carmen Electra.

This is my favourite bra and thong set from their website:

BUT it doesnt just stop at undies and pretty bras. They also produce their own jewellery,
accessories, beach towels, swim wear and even luggage... below is
the best looking little piece of carry-wear I have EVER seen:

** are those little pin-up girls printed on the inside? oh yes they are!! **

Take a look at their website and be an avid follower of
their beautiful treats!

Cottonmonster.com

What would you get if you added monsters to underwear?

well...

Welcome to the world
of:
cotton
monster

(website can be found here!)

These beautifully freaky and adorable creations that make
up the world of cotton monster was started by one
Jennifer Strunge. She started this quirky company through her
love for textiles, and during her senior year at
Maryland Institute College of Art Jennifer started to experiment
and made quilts with eyes and huge soft plush-sculptures
from second hand bedding and blankies!

She also makes nifty monster head gear ;)

Go check our her site! And if you're able to, definately buy
these one-of-a-kind critters...

enjoy!

Trend Alert: The Cut Out Shoe

Want something to add instant style to your up-coming
summer wardrobe?
Look out for any cut-out styled shoe... heels, peep-toe, pumps
and flats, whether the cut out be a large sections, or smaller detailed
areas, this is definitely a pretty fit! And the best part about these lovelies is that
you can dress them up or down.

I would opt to find and buy either suede or fake leather ones,
and steer clear from any plasticy materials to avoid
sweaty summer feet!

My favs would have to be these babies:

Which can be found here!

(Forever 21)

I love the tiny cut-out detail,
perhaps not the best colour in the
world (I'd opt for a black pair)
but a gorgeous looking
shoe :)

Enjoy!
