Here comes the light - Pull and Bear

Here Comes The Light...

................................................

... however, for those of us in the bottom part of the world, it's
more like Here Comes The Rain (hah)

But alas, this is why we have beautiful campaigns such as the
Pull&Bear S/S2012 one to look upon
and eagerly reminisce on our beautiful past summer days...
(not that I'm not a total hater of Winter...)

Loving the desaturated look and feel of this shoot,
and I think the "Vintage Summer by the Sea" is very appealing
and works well with the coloration of their seasons garments...

pops of lemon yellow, lots of natural tones, crispy chalky whites
and greys and beautiful, intricate ditzy prints and lacey bits to compliment
the look as a whole.

Look below and spread the Pull&Bear genius...

Flags in Fashion

flags

..............................

are nothing new to any of us.
infact, legend has it that lil'ol Betsy Ross – born in America as Elizabeth Griscom – was indeed the maker of the first American flag.
She worked as an apprentice to a local upholsterer John Webster, and learned to sew a whole bunch of goodies including blinds, dresses etc. However, when the American Revolutionary War broke out it became difficult to sew fabric, and garments
were made from flags, which also acted as a bit of a patriotic statement for the country at the time..

through the years this flag wearing trend has become a bit of a fashion statement, and is still hot for summer 12 fashion!
you'll be struck to find an online store that doesnt have something that symbolises either the union jack or the american flag...

This summer key notes to remember is that you want your item to look as if it were in the American Revolutionary War itself...

I'm talking vintage, tattery and distressed.

Take a look below for more inspiration... <3

Charlotte Free in ‘Sirene’ for Wildfox Summer 12

 All Girls...

............................................

...no matter what age, still like to make-believe they are in a fairy tale...
I may not always jump at the chance to go to a dress up party

although last Halloween I went as a very successful Gossip Girl

however I always stop and oogle at ANYTHING fantastical and
make-believe... I am still an AVID disney freak and hence, when I came across
the Wildfox Summer 12 campaign...

featuring non other than my new FAV Charlotte Free,
I immediately died and went to heaven...

This entire shoot makes you feel as if you're a mermaid...
it brings up senses of beach sand, sun, coconut oil, cocktails,
anything fruity and magical...

look over the images below and be certain that in these
magnificent garments, you truly can feel like a real mermaid ;)

enjoy!!

Charlotte Free - Forever 21

Charlotte Free...

... is only 18 years old, and is already the new
face for Forever 21.

A seemingly callow little girl,
with her streaky blonde and pink hair,
she's already walked for Roksanda Ilincic, Vivienne Westwood Red Label and Marchesa, among others,
starred in campaigns for Pamela Love and Ermanno Scervino.

I think she's a perfect fit for this brand,
and brings an air of youthful innocence
and sexiness to Forever 21....

Almost as good as how Taylor Momsen was for Madonna's
Material Girl... Mhhmm..

Great move!
