... Hello, and welcome to my new fav find -  

With Asian Stereotypes.

This fashion brand fist caught my attention when I noticed a whole lot of 

upside down crosses
on printed tees and hanging from chains. My first thought -
oh
wow, that's a bold move!

LOVE these ripped tights from With Asian Stereotypes...!!

Now, living in South Africa where most has been conditioned to be very
sensitive towards people's race, cultures and religions, I highly doubt
a brand like this would go down well on the streets of Cape Town, sad as this
is to say, as I love the cheekiness of the upside down goth cross.

Now, before you start throwing your bibles at my face, let's take a little look into
where this symbol comes from and what it really means:

The "Upside Down Cross" is otherwise knows as the Cross of St. Peter, and
SURPRISE SURPRISE was actually, traditionally, used as a symbol of Christianity
as St. Peter himself was crucified upside down, on a very upside down cross.
The reason for this? St. Peter requested to be crucified in this manner as he felt
unworthy to be crucified in the same was as our boy Jesus himself.

Some Catholics still, to this day, use an upside down cross to symbolize our humility,
and our unworthiness in comparison to Jesus Christ...

SO, whether you even believe in God and/or Jesus or not, it's always good to know a little more about this symbol the next time you decide to sport an upside down cross to Sunday school, kids :p

With Asian Stereotypes is chock full of upside down cross goodness.
Their shapes are SO basic, but their witchy gothy prints are stark and cheeky,
and will look great with a pair of distressed denims and lace-up docs.

90's Fashion with UNIF and Poison Ivy

with a blonde perm. The story line, in a nutshell, goes like this:

" Blonde girl cool, brunette girl secretly cooler.  Blonde kills brunette’s mom and tries to make blonde babies with brunette’s dad.   Brunette kills blonde.  Conclusion : Girls are bad." - UNIF

UNIF, one of my fav niche fashion brands, have released their new collection
called POISON IVY. I love the lookbook shots, it follows the movie pretty closely
and even looks like screen shots of a flick! Pretty cute.

So lately it seems that a good few sessions

of pilates as well as a gluten-free diet

has left Miley weilding an

all-powerful toned sporty feminine sexy ass figure!!

And with this new little bod and gorgeously

tight arms and tum, she's free to wear some of my

fav Summer 12 pieces!!

Firstly, this little

grungy skull black and white playsuit is just SO cute, paired with

her 90's grunge round sunnies and black lace-ups, I'd say

this outfit is a WIN!

SECOND on the lift is my FAV ensemble:

High waisted denims and a sexy little bustier!

VERY 90's revival, especially with the check shirt to finish it off...

and I love the biker-esque booties, and again

Three of the biggest trends that have emerged for Spring / Summer 2012
is:

Denim (on Denim...)

And my new favourite find: The Ragged Priest, 

is a place for all of the above fashions.

Their Lookbook for Spring/Summer is a gorgeous mashup of candy-floss dreamy girly dyed dresses
with soft cottons, knits and silk chiffons all juxtaposed against the raw gritty-ness of

 torn distressed blue denims with silver studded hardware.

 It really is an interesting two Summer trends
to pair together, and seem to work well here...
