Off-Duty Model on the Street- Milan Fashion Week 2012

On the Streets Of Milan...

..........................................................

... during the Milan Fashion Week 2012, one could notice
the hoards of fashion lovers sporting their fashion favs.
Below are a few pics snapped of some of the fashion week models
(off the clock of course) walking around flaunting their
designer goodies... oh-so-inspirational!

Lots of tailored pretty coats, ankle booties, many many layers and textures
(even the occasional fur). It's all about
keeping it smart yet comfy in Milan's chilly weather...

For those of us who live in South Africa (where the
weather is still very warm) take note for some
stunning wintery looks below

Dolce & Gabbana - Golden Baroque

Dolce & Gabbana's Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection...

........................

... is utterly, absolutely, amazingly, additively to-die-for.
I mean, I fell in love with the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 collection
when it came out, but my-oh-my, Dolce & Gabbana really takes the
golden baroque cake here!!

Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana say
that for this collection, they drew very strongly from the
Sicilian Baroque tradition for inspiration and creativity.

Lace was dominant here... and I love the sexy-ness that's
been brought into each outfit, including the little velvet hot pants,
small black capes and knee-high socks... all the while
holding its dark vintage serious Baroque splendor.

Lots of heavy bold details, gold chunky bits, delicate
transparent corsets and bold, luxurious  needle-point type floral prints... *sigh*

Take a look at some of the pics below,
love and enjoy!!

All Saints - Fashion Graphic Tees

...............................................................

Has without a doubt always been an amazing one-of-a-kind fashion brand.
And yes I say "brand" as All Saints is not just a shop where you can
buy clothing... It's a lifestyle, an experience.

One of my favorite things from the All Saints website has to be
their amazing illustrious graphic tees...

The attention to detail in these prints is perfectly balanced by the
very trendy subdued colours of both the bases and prints.
You definitely won't have a problem finding items
to match to these tees, as they will go with practically everything you own.

The woman graphic tees display a bit of the darker side
to fashion in terms of the content of their prints... skulls, birds and beautiful
natural sounding typography allows for this collection
to truly stand out from the rest...
Below are a few of my favs:

On the All Saints website, if you look in the menu bar, you'll notice
something saying "Not For Sale"...

All Saints have collaborated with the group Not For Sale, which exists
to fight human trafficking and modern-day slavery.

Proceeds from this T-shirt line (for guys and girls) will go to
benefit the Not For Sale group's work, which is actively
moving towards ending human trafficking on a global scale, and putting a stop
to forced labour...

So not only will you look good, but you'll be doing good too
by wearing one of these babies...
Once again, also sporting the amazing print quality to which
All Saints is known for... This one below, for example, is printed
by hand onto 100% European brushed cotton, with iridescent
foil highlights to imitate light and shade, adding a great quality
to this very meaningful garment...

Kate Garey - Beautifully Charming Jewellery

Kate Garey

..............................

Yesterday I stumbled across this gorgeous little site
fully of sweet treats from bags, clothing, accessories, cushions
and even little soft toys. Her jewellery range, however, really
caught my eye...

Her pieces are so fun and imaginative, I'd imagine feeling
happy all day with one of these charms around my neck!
I love their childrens-story-book look and feel...

Her hand-made "wristlets" are also something to admire...
I particularly love the Swan and the Swallow ones!
(see below)

I've also added a few pics of my fav necklaces from
Kate Garey ... but go along to her site and
have a look at everything else on offer!

Logan White Photography - the Hartwig Sisters

Dancers...

.....................................................

Make for the most beautiful models.
I'm always scouting for new and interesting Ballet portraits,
and when I came across Logan White's "The Hartwig Sisters",
I fell completely in love <3

This strikingly romantic haunting setting creates
an eery nostalgic feel for these stills, very secret-garden-esque.

I can only imagine these, blown up in beautiful ornate frames
in my room... *sigh*

enjoy!
