MayField ... A fashion editorial

MAYFIELD...

................................................................

What would it be like to not just think about running away,
but to actually do it? Mmmhm, probably not nearly as carefree
and glamourous as this shoot suggests, but
a girl can dream ;)

Mayfield... Photographer by Australia's own young
photographer Luke Jason Carter, is one of  beauty, freedom and power.

The story, set to a vintage 1960's Motel and all styling following
a strong 60's 70's American West Coast vibe, holds so much
power and attitude, it's hard not to get sucked into the imagery.
There is a strong sense of GLAM juxtaposed with Indie aesthetics,
which I think brings a raw yet "glittery" element to the story.

Photographer Luke says:

“We channeled a Hollywood Boulevard, Jackie’O glamour look and merged it with a raw, indy look.”

Such beautiful inspiration for summer...
LOVE the graphic vest as well as  the glitter black over-sized
t-shirt dress. Just too sexy.

Check out the pics below!

Enjoy! xo

I DON'T LIKE MONDAYS - Online Fashion Store

I DONT LIKE MONDAYS...

........................................................

... is very true, but it's also a very cool online clothing store.
So what are they about? Well, no one knows yet as that is still under construction, but in short you can go there and buy the trendiest slickest clothing from a bunch of different labels...

And if that doesn't turn you on enough, you'd be happy to hear that this little site seems to go the extra mile and really create a lifestyle behind their brand... :)

They have a really well run blog that works in conjunction with what ever is selling on their site at the time... Constantly posting up editorials featuring their garments and any other juice tit-bits to keep their buyers buying more, with smiles on their faces!

I especially love their "Seasons In The Sun" Editorial, with Photography by Anouk Morgan, featuring model Stephanie Cam at RE:Quest - Hair by Marki Shkreli and Makeup by Stephanie Flor.

This shoot is very Biker-Chick meets Grungy Godliness, and the dream-like afternoon lighting makes you want to jump into the pictures and walk alongside her.. Happy stylish faces all round!!

Go view the editorial over here to get links for the garments used,

And, of course, don't forget to go buy some sweet stuff : I DONT LIKE MONDAYS

Enjoy Kids!

Lacoste Live - SS'12

...................................................

...................................................

... is here to bring out the prep in you!

... or roller girl
... or cheerleader

This week saw Lacoste's launch of their woman's wear,
and wow is this range fantastic! Especially the leopard print collared polo tees! Very forward and cute.

So what exactly is Lacoste Live?

It is the main brand's younger, funner, preppier sibling
and is chock-full of pops of bright colour and a
brilliant attitude to match. Launched in 2011,
Lacoste Live is all about a vintage twist
on the classic collegiate looks Lacoste is known for...
as well as slimmer fits, tartan,
leopard prints, pastel shades and micro-short legnths
for bottoms!

Their campaign is also very clean, fresh and crisp,
and Lacoste-lovers seem to be loving every bit of it!

Want to buy? look at Asos!

Otherwise look below for a few more pics of the collection...

LOVE!

Dolce & Gabbana - Golden Baroque

Dolce & Gabbana's Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection...

........................

... is utterly, absolutely, amazingly, additively to-die-for.
I mean, I fell in love with the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 collection
when it came out, but my-oh-my, Dolce & Gabbana really takes the
golden baroque cake here!!

Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana say
that for this collection, they drew very strongly from the
Sicilian Baroque tradition for inspiration and creativity.

Lace was dominant here... and I love the sexy-ness that's
been brought into each outfit, including the little velvet hot pants,
small black capes and knee-high socks... all the while
holding its dark vintage serious Baroque splendor.

Lots of heavy bold details, gold chunky bits, delicate
transparent corsets and bold, luxurious  needle-point type floral prints... *sigh*

Take a look at some of the pics below,
love and enjoy!!

Logan White Photography - the Hartwig Sisters

Dancers...

.....................................................

Make for the most beautiful models.
I'm always scouting for new and interesting Ballet portraits,
and when I came across Logan White's "The Hartwig Sisters",
I fell completely in love <3

This strikingly romantic haunting setting creates
an eery nostalgic feel for these stills, very secret-garden-esque.

I can only imagine these, blown up in beautiful ornate frames
in my room... *sigh*

enjoy!

Fairytale Hair Trend - Pastel Toned

Pastels...

........................

... are not only for attire it seems. There has been
a massive influx of people with pretty,
soft My-Little-Pony looking pastel hair colours!
Seen on many celebrities (especially at the most recent
Grammys) and even bracing a few mag covers,
I think this new trend is divine! But probably pretty
pricey and difficult to maintain - I've had every hair colour
in the book (yes, even high-lighter yellow!) and I know
how quickly these colours wash out...

One way you can achieve it for one wash is by
getting a coloured hair spray! The Hair stylist, Sarah Benton for
my shoot for Ohsococo Swimwear  (click the link to go there!)
made use of a silver/white-ish spray for the set to get
the same look :) Very Marie Antoinette darling... <3
 (Ohsococo Blog

However, the romantic lure of these colours
makes it all worth it in the end!
Just make sure you go to a professional salon
if you want to achieve this look for good... ;)
