Summer Dreams - Editorial

SUMMER DREAMS...

... is the only thing going through my head for the past few weeks...

I took a little time this past weekend to go through a few things in my
wardrobe and try them on again in the spirit of Summer to come :)

So naturally, my eye keeps falling on these gorgeous Summery fashion editorials, and when I see one as beautiful as this I just HAVE to re-blog!

It seems that Summer 2012 is loving Crochet Swimwear and Swim covers... I am particularly in LOVE with these little crochet shorts

Never Fade Into Nothingness

is a literary fanatic and in my mind,
she has read every book in existence
(well, only the good ones that is... lol)

A little before she left for the UK, I remember sitting in her room and
going through all her possessions. 

One of which was a book I noticed called Lolita, by Vladimir Nabokov
(a film was also made with the same title by Stanley Kubrick)
She lent it to me, although I must confess I never got around to reading it,
I am, however, familiar with the storyline and when I came across this gorgeously shot fashion editorial I thought I HAD to blog it, especially for Romy ;)

MarquisMontes say about their shoot:

"Leaving the dark and grimy aspect of the story behind, we concentrated our interest in the actual character: Lolita, youthful, naïve, nonchalant but equally seductive, endearing and quite aware of her sexuality. We wanted to create ‘a day in the life’ of this intriguing character, trying to showcase the duality and complexity of the carefree temptress.”

A Trend To DYE For

... There has been an ever increasing come-back
of self dyed clothing 

(and hair - which started

with the pastel hair trend ) 

for Summer 2012! Oh How Fun!

Is it the want to have something original.. different from what anyone else
would own? Tie-dying is a very crafty and personal project that will give your clothes
a once-in-a-lifetime effect so there's a huge plus if you know
how to do this yourself at home. Of course, if that is a bit too much of a challenge,
brands like Urban Outfitters have made the trend of Tye-Dye VERY accessible!!

There are a variety of colours AND styles to suit your look at Urban Outfitters.
Whether its bright and bold of grungy and subdued... 

Tie-dye will def be a popular trend this Summer
so it's time to start looking out for beautifully dyed garments... (Not to forget Dip-dying too!)

We Are Handsome

... Wow, What a stunning brand!

With their new 2012 collection "Matriarch", there is absolutely NO sign of water
in the entire shoot, which I think is pretty ingenious for a mostly - swimwear brand.

Another thing to note is that even though these items are mostly functional,
there is also very little embellishments on these swimwear pieces.
No hectic buckles, ties, or any other "accessory" detail garnish these
stand-alone pieces.

What there is, however, is trending silhouettes and the most interesting,
GORGEOUS photo-real prints.

From Palm Trees to Lions, Bubbles to Swans, and my fav being the beautiful
English rose print, these leggings, bodycon dresses and swim wear pieces
are just so enticing, they really do make for an interesting shoot.

I just love everything about this brand, started by guy and gal Indhra and Jeremy, their
aim was just to create something beautiful. Well, they hit that mark on the spot!

New FAV brand!!!! Check out the We Are Handsome website, and I've also

from their launch just to give you a little more insight into the brand and the people behind it!
