Boho Ballerina Fashion Editorial

Boho Ballerina...

...............................................

... So for those of you who follow my Pintrest, you'd
see that I've added in an extra board this week - "Dance".

I've done dancing most of my life and this has always been a huge
passion for me. Often I come across gorgeous ballet photography
online and NOW, I have a special place to "pin" all of them.

I came across this fashion slash ballet editorial today and
thought I'd share since it is so unique and pretty.

Shot by photographer Joachim Johnson for
The Amanda Norgaard Smug Magazine,
this very gritty and real representation of a dancer is just so raw and beautiful.
With styling by by April Johnson, the model is adorned with light-weight garments including
knits, lace and fur along with the nude bodysuits, this entire shoot has a very
bohemian feel about it and I just love it... The photos seem to get up close
and personal. Simply stunning.

Don't forget to go check out my new Pintrest board
over here, and enjoy these gorgeous images!

The Crochet Top - By Urban Outfitters

Crochet...

..........................................................

... is here to stay, at least for another season that is.

We can thank, mainly, Coachella for re-igniting the hippie
festival princess in us all and leading the way for
the 2012 festival-chic trends.

One of the basics every festival-goer should posess on their person is a
crochet tee or vest.
Urban outfitters has a few gorgeous options for you to choose from in pretty colours
and sexy styles.

I LOVE each and every one of these, but the main thing that surprised me was the
"Pins and Needles Cold Shoulder Crochet Top".

The reason for this is that, on any other
garment i really REALLY don't like this open shoulder thing. I think it makes most
girls look pretty butch and manly. There is nothing sexy about these tees AT all...
until I saw this one.

It seems the "holy" effect of the crochet doesn't draw too much attention to the
"cold shoulder" detail, and I think, just for this style, it works really beautifully.

Check out the pics below or
go to the Urban Outfitters website to see what other
festival-inspired garb you can pic up ;)

Enjoy!

The Silver Factory - S/S 2012

The Silver Factory...

.....................................................................

... The Silver Factory is my new love. Created by.. wait for it..
16, YES! 16 year old
Cameron Cavaliere.

Already his prints have been spotted on Celebs world wide,
infact, one of his designs was worn by Rihanna on
the "We Found Love" music video! awesome stuff...

So last month Cameron's long awaited S/S 2012 collection
was released, with a lovely photoshoot to fit.

Set on Brighton Pier
(as was the candy carnival inspired Burberry's shoot if I recall..)
it's a simple shoot featuring two models running around and having
a good-ol' time
eating candyfloss and riding the carousal with huge floral headbands and of course The Silver Factory's awesome tees!

Do be sure to visit The Silver Factory website...

ENJOY

Nasty Gal - Cross Your Heart

Cross Your Hear†

..............................................................

I am a MASSIVE Nasty Gal fan,
and am constantly (I'd say on average
at LEAST 2 to 3 times a week) browsing on their
site for awesome on-trend fashion inspiration....

Their latest Lookbook features their
Collection.... And I quote from their site:

"Heaven-sent lace and crochet turn to the dark side. Think sweet
dresses spiked with gunmetal jewelry, sheer mesh loaded with chains,
and boots ready to stomp all over the city..."

Well, not much to add after that,
other than the cross micro-trend is still HUGE,
and well,
I just love this shit.

would HAVE to be the

Take a look below and LOVE
as much as I do... or, well, you
can try get close to it ;)

Amber Jones for Mr Price - June 2012

Amber Jones for Mr. Price...

...................................................................

If you live in South Africa, and love Mr. Price as I do,
then you'll be familiar with the "Project : Limited Edition" ranges that go
into selected stores.

Now Amber Jones is one of my fav, her designs really are on trend and very eye-catching!
From the 15 of June 2012 (so this should be in stores now then!) you'll be able to find
her NEW range :

EDIE & The It Girls.

Edie Sedgwick and Andy Warhol

Edie - American Actress, socialite, model and heiress --> April 20, 1943 – November 16, 1971

Quoted in an interview with ELLE (S.A) and Amber herself:

"‘I was really fascinated by sixties It-girls like Edie Sedgwick and Penelope Tree. Their brand of off-beat cool still has a massive impact on fashion decades later. Part of what I find so fantastic about them is that their style was never obvious or affected.’"

Amber Jones' Mood Board for "Edie and the It Girls"

What to expect? Besides from the beautiful Wintery jewel tones and beautiful retro prints, styles include dropped waists, over-sized coats and even a little peplum printed tee in the mix (which I LOVE).

The Melton Cape (for only R299!) HAS to be my fav from this collection tho....
I mean, which girls DOESNT want a CAPE?! Very Victorian 1800's kind of vibe but more updated.... too cute!

Keep close eye out on the Mr Price website (over here) for any more updates
on upcoming limited ranges... Otherwise take a look at the pics below
and Enjoy!!

Let me know if you buy anything...
